Mountain View centers has done a wonderful job of working with my dad who has dementia and they have been very patient and kind with him and have been able to manage his behaviors without drugging him or sedating him which has been very much appreciated and they have been privacy. appreciate the many in-house programs they have from the doctor to the dentist to the nurse practitioner to the hairdresser and the podiatrist it definitely makes my life a lot easier not having to take him from place to place and they speak both his languages. The caregivers know his needs and meet his needs adequately and efficiently and this has been his home thank you.

My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014. I was able to take care of him at home for 3 years. Then he started running away from home and I had to call the police a few times to help me find him. Also, he was showing some aggressiveness towards me where he had to be sent to a psychiatric hospital. That’s when I had to place him here at this facility in December 2017. Throughout this entire time, the staff and caregivers have been very caring and helpful with my husband. It's been a long journey since he is now under hospice care. The staff has always kept me informed of his condition. I see my husband 4 times a week so I'm aware of my husband's care given to him. |like that he's not over-medicated so he can function at best as possible. Whenever I have a concern about his care the staff and caregivers are to willing listen and help out. Most important they have treated my husband with respect and kindness.

I have been very pleased with my husbands care at Mountain View. The staff is friendly, caring and helpful. The facility is kept very clean and fresh smelling. My husband is doing well under their care.

The folks at Mountain View are doing a fine job of caring for my long-time friend, “C,” for whom I hold power of attorney. C had previously stayed at 2 other facilities, but neither was a good fit for him; Mountain View, on the other hand, has been just right. The staff takes genuine interest in the well-being and lives of the residents, and are not merely monitors. The dedicated and sensitive staff, pleasant surroundings, and a not too large patient population, add up to a winning combination.

I, am an MSW, working in healthcare for many years, and currently with a healthcare company and have been visiting this facility for over one year now; and I have consistently found the staff to be providing excellent, kind and compassionate care to all the residents in this facility. The staff are warm, gentle and caring in providing personal care to the residents and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for an excellent placement for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s. The staff are truly vested in providing quality compassionate care in a safe and nurturing environment, the staff create and maintain. Residents are always neat, clean and well cared for, it is an excellent facility.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for taking such good care of Bill. Since he arrived at your facility three months ago, he has thrived. He is always kept clean and well fed. He receives three nutritious meals and snacks each day; which he loves. If I ever have a concern regarding Bill’s health, you always address it immediately and are very accomodating.
Your staff is always attentive and kind to the residents. I appreciate how you encourage them to be as independent as possible while staying safe. Your facility is always welcoming to visitors who come to see their loved ones. I visit Bill nearly every day and I am always so happy to see that he is been cared for. It gives me peace of mind having at Mountain View Centers.
Thank you so much for everthing you do!

I hope it’s a good day and missed texting you this week to talk with Carolyn but I will forever be deeply grateful for the love and care you showed her. If you are on Facebook, I put up a post about her and mentioned Mountain View and our gratitude there.

I want to share my personal experience with Moyntain View Centers. My mom Gladys Burns has been living at this facility located on Baseline Claremont since 2020. This place was recommended by her state nurse Gina Bardo at the beginning of the pandemia when mom was still residing at a transitional skill center in Montrose.
When her waiver program got finally approved, the center where she was supposed to move in was shutdown due to Covid and I had no choice but to bring mom home, stop working and provide 24-hour care for her.
I took care of mom for 18 days, and despite the love and good care, my mom was out of control and not only her but our entire family was suffering with her.
Please understand that having a family member who you love and observing violent behavior is not an easy thing to do.
I am very thankful to Mountain View Centers from the very first day I spoke with Laura Hernandez. I felt compassion and support they opened their center to my mom and our family and since then, I have been very involved in her transition to this new life she has now.
In period of two years, I watched mom improve she changes into a more calm person, she is in peace, well taken care of, always clean, has been medicated correctly, and with care and support of every single person in the facility she has changed from a life of suffering to a new life with dignity.
I have been there every Sunday and randomly during the weekdays, my youngest brother has been visiting mom on different days than me. I also have shown up without announcing myself during and after meals; I have witnessed the care provided and I do not have any but good things to say about how the staff has been excellent support for mom and our family.
I have also observed the care provided to other residents I have never observed any wrong doing. This collaboration of care has been essential and I would like to thank all the staff, from the coordinator to all the caregivers and the kitchen cook for their hard work and compassion.

My mom don’t speak engish and I am happy she found a place like this were she feels happy and I have a peace of mind. I come to see my mom unannounced & she is always clean and happy. When I leave she says by with no hesitation she is happy to be here. I notice the staff love my mom like a family member & I love that. I couldnt’ had found nothing better I am so happy to have my mom on Montain View Centers.

The management has been very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. My aunt is receiving hospice support and it has worked very well.

Our family appreciates the flexibility of the visiting hours.

I just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done for my mom Angelina Barabasch she is very contented and happy there. My dad says the same thing as well. There has never an issue and my dad and I will continue to keep her there.

Working at Mountain View gave us valuable experience in caring for developmentally disabled persons. We learned to appreciate them regardless of their disabilities. Because of that, in return, we love them more and take good care of them like real family members. We see to it that they are happy and healthy. We make it sure that in every special occasions we celebrate it with them specially on their birthdays. We are very happy when we see the joy in their faces when they blow out the candles of their birthday cakes.
Above all, we thank the owner of Mountain View Cottages Smita Sanghvi and her Administrator Trupti Mody who are very kind to us. They are a blessing to us.

Eileen is happy living here at Mountain View Cottages 2 because it is quiet here at home. She can freely do what she wants like watching TV in her room and doing some coloring activities. She is also happy with her peers. She likes the staff too because they take good care of her and cook delicious food for them. She is also happy celebrating special occasions like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. and most specially her birthday.

I saw that there were some bad reviews for Mountain View Centers which surprised me, but then I noticed that they are mostly older ones. They have been under new management and I am very pleased with the changes they have made. Since my loved one arrived at the facility, he has thrived. He is always kept clean and well fed. He receives three nutritious meals and snacks each day; which he loves. If I ever have a concern regarding his health, they always address it immediately and are very accommodating. The facility itself is clean, bright and airy. They keep his room clean and bed made. They have a hair stylist and dentist that come in that are familiar with working with dementia patients.
Any one who has had a family member with dementia knows how difficult it is. Their behavior changes from time to time. They can be calm and happy one week and can be aggressive the next. They work to try and find medications that help to keep them calm while still being productive. My loved one was at a nursing facility beforehand and all they did was keep him drugged up and in bed. Mountain View Center’s staff is always attentive and kind to their residents. They are so patient. I appreciate how they encourage them to be as independent as possible; while staying safe.
The facility is always welcoming to visitors who come to see their loved ones. I visit nearly every day and I am always so happy to see that he is being cared for. It gives me peace of mind having him at Mountain View Centers.

Mountain View Centers has done a good job taking care of my Brother for the last 6 years. I see the good care they give my brother and the other patients there in the memory care home. They keep the place clean and my Brother is happy there. The staff are polite and caring.

I just woke anted to say that my moms has been there for a few years now and they have done a great job in taking care of her. Although, she will never be 100% again, she is comfortable and happy.

My mother has been a resident at one of the Mountain View Centers for a little over two years. It is a small facility- a home that houses a maximum of six residents. My mother, who is 100 years old, but still mobile, has dementia. This home-like setting has been very good for her. She has been comfortable and well cared for and our family believes that this setting has allowed her to thrive better than she might have in a larger, institution-like facility . When we were looking for a place for her we looked at 16 facilities and decided that this one would be the most nurturing. It is a modest facility, no frills, but offers a home like environment and feeling. The caretakers know all the residents very well. I have good communication with the caretakers, the RN that evaluates my mother every other week, and the director in charge of overseeing the facility. I appreciate the care my mother is receiving there.

My husband was diagnosed with a trumatic brain injury and dementia. Most facilities we looked into wouldn’t take him or released him because he was aggressive and angry. Mountain View admitted him. His caregivers and the nurse practitioner have worked to find the best medications and techniques to control his outbursts. He has been there for 1 1/2 years and his demeanor and attention span is much improved. He seems clean and relatively happy. The facility needs some TLC but our options were limited. I am grateful.

We are very happy to have found Mountain View for my father’s care. My father had become very challenging to care of at home and we were in desperate need of a place that would accept him and provide the level of care he needed. We not only found the care, but also a group of caregivers who are very passionate. It is not a luxurious place (which my father does not need) but they do have very hard-working caregivers. After 3 months of being there my dad is doing incredibly well. He adjusted quickly. Every time we visit him, he tells us he’s very happy and we have even struggled to take him out of the facility for a family outing. They have physicians and nurses from two different companies that come into the facility to do wellness checks on the residents. They ensure that residents are not being overmedicated and are kept on enough medications to maintain their stability. When we have been present visiting my father, we have observed time and time again how the caregivers demonstrate love and respect towards all the residents.

Mountain View Centers in Claremont has been doing a great job caring for my loved one. This assisted living memory care facility specializes in providing care for residents with Alzheimer/dementia. The living area is safe and secure. His room is pleasant and kept clean by the staff. There is a large common room where residents watch TV, play games, and do group activities. There is also a nice outside courtyard where he can walk around and enjoy the sunny California weather. Most importantly, the caregivers at MVC provide excellent care. They are very patient with all of the residents even though each one has unique needs. He is always kept well groomed, which is important for maintaining good health and spirit. The staff keep me informed of any issues and are always willing to help. I feel fortunate that we found MVC. Thank you so much to all of the staff and caregivers at MVC, you truly are amazing.

The caretakers at Mountain View go out of their way to really learn about and know each resident – they take extra steps to help each of them move forward at their own individual pace, and do that in a thoughtful and caring way. The facility is spotless and the staff takes extra time to make each room feel bright and cozy. Communication with family members is direct and timely – even through this past 19 months of the pandemic, I have felt that my sister was truly cared for.

My husband has a traumatic brain injury and dementia. He was rejected or released from SNFs and Casa Colina for aggression and anger issues. We were very limited in choices of care. Mountain View admitted him, worked with the nurse practitioner to find the right medications for him, learned how to communicate best with him, and he has always seemed clean and relatively happy. He has been there 1 1/2 years and his demeanor and attention-span have improved. I am grateful.

I have been very happy with the care Chris received – and continues to receive – at the Mountain Views facility. The staff is attentive, caring and patient and keeps me posted as to Chris status in between my visits. One of my visits happened to be at lunch time, and I was impressed by the quality of what was served: fresh ingredients, tastefully prepared, which Chris clearly enjoyed eating. I even saw him tuck into some fresh cantaloupe with gusto, which was a pleasant suprise to me, knowing the kind of diet Chris used to eat in the past. Overall, I have always found the facility clean and well maintained when I’ve visited.
More importantly, Chris had some health issues last year which resulted in his hospitalized and then having a brief stay at an outpatient facility. When he returned to Mountain View, he was very weak and had to use a wheelchair as he could not walk on his own. Since his return, he has greatly improved with the help of Mountain View staff and outside assistance (e.g., physical therapist, visiting physician) and is now ambulatory using a walker.
All in all, I have no complaints or concerns about the care Chris receives. Prior to coming to Mountain View he had stayed at two other facilities, but for whatever reasons those didn’t work out. The Mountain View folks seem to “get” Chris, and I am glad things have worked out so well here.

I want to begin by saying THANK YOU to everyone at Mountain View Center for the loving care, patience and understanding Laura and all the staff have shown my Mom. She was diagnosed with Dementia her symptoms are all the negative symptoms related to the disease aggression, sun downing, raging, hallucinations and delusions it was to the point where she raged for 5 days. Her Doctor finally prescribed medications which had her totally drugged up or made her aggression much worse there was never a proper balance. It became very challenging to provide the care she needed at home, her Doctor recommended placement,we met with a social worker who gave us a list of facilities (BIG MISTAKE) my husband and I visited place after place yes some were beautiful with all the bells and whistles but as soon as I asked if they could manage all my moms behavior issues related to the Dementia I received silence then the response i did get was they would have to see if it would work out, basically every facility we visited had the same response. Well God must have been on our side we were referred to MOUNTAIN VIEW ,we met with Patricia and Laura I was totally shocked when I let them know all my Moms issues and their response was it wasn’t anything they haven’t dealt with on a daily basis, they went over everything regarding my Mom, not one of the other facilities came close to our meeting with Patricia and Laura ..My Mom has been a resident for over a year now , her medication is NOW ON TRACK, she has bad days but nothing like prior and for that I’m so very grateful I could go on and on singing the praises of MOUNTAIN VIEW CENTER but most of all I am so thankful to all for the wonderful care my Mom receives.

I have heard great things about this facility from families that had serious behavior issues, mainly escaping and running away. The family had unsuccessfully tried other locked facilities and their loved one was able to escape by jumping over retaining walls, taking the hinges off windows, and they were ultimately removed from 2 facilities and send to Mountain View where they managed the behaviors and the staff were well trained to deal with extreme problems.

As a professional nurse I have visited Mountain View Centers over several months to check in on clients progress and management. My focus is to assess the type of care a resident receives and how it impacts the resident’s daily life. The results are impressive. The staff at MVC know how to manage and structure daily activities for the enjoyment and safety of everyone. My observations show people are clean, groomed, dressed and in the main room together daily. Small snacks are provided throughout the day, actives are attended by everyone regardless of their mental capacity. The residents are treated professionally with an overtone of a family atmosphere. The staff is the most important aspect of deciding on a facility for a loved one. The staff at MVC make a huge difference in the daily management and care the residents. I would not hesitate to send a loved one to this facility.

Mount View Caregivers are among the best when it comes to deal with the needs of Alzheimer Dementia residents. In this place residents are treated with love and respect. They are treated and cared for as family. I am very lucky that I was able to find Mount View Centers, for my husband, when I needed it most. They had been a blessing to my husband and our family.

I’ve been associated with Smita Sanghvi for close to 10 years. I’m very familiar fond of her building Mountain View Centers serving dementia patients. She is truly genuine in wanting to serve this population. I also have the same passion and conduct dementia support groups and regularly conduct inservices to educate care staff on the uniqueness in caring for dementia patients.
Dementia affects not only the patient but the family and associates witnessing the cognitive decline. These patients need an advocate to uncover their true needs. Each person is unique and comes from different walks of life so their behaviors and cognitive decline is as unique as the individual. At Mountain View the staff is trained under Ms. Smita’s direction to uncover those special handling (for example shower time preferences, approach, motivation to eat, activities including singing and dancing). Other organizations cater to the ease of the staff Mountain View caters to the needs of the cognitive decline who may not be able to verbally express their preferences.
Mountain View historically has attracted the most “so called dementia” locations frown upon, wanderers, combative behaviors, stubbornness. At Mountain View the staff takes the time to discover what’s best to make the patient flourish and provide quality of life for the duration of their life.

My mom don't speak engish and I am happy she found a place like this were she feels happy and I have a peace of mind. I come to see my mom unannounced & she is always clean and happy. When I leave she says by with no hesitation she is happy to be here. I notice the staff love my mom like a family member & I love that. I couldnt' had found nothing better I am so happy to have my mom on Montain View Centers.
I hope it's a good day and missed texting you this week to talk with Carolyn but I will forever be deeply grateful for the love and care you showed her. If you are on Facebook, I put up a post about her and mentioned Mountain View and our gratitude there.
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for taking such good care of Bill. Since he arrived at your facility three months ago, he has thrived. He is always kept clean and well fed. He receives three nutritious meals and snacks each day; which he loves. If I ever have a concern regarding Bill's health, you always address it immediately and are very accomodating.
Mr. Bill Stephens and I would always go see his wife Mrs. Stephens. We always see Joshua Temus he was always happy to see us. We really enjoyed his company. He always made us laugh. Never bother us was always a gentelman to us and always very kind to Mrs. Stephens, she really enjoy his company. We always had alot of laugh's. He never say bad words, just a real sweet guy and harmless. And never said any sexual talk.
I, am an MSW, working in healthcare for many years, and currently with a healthcare company and have been visiting this facility for over one year now; and I have consistently found the staff to be providing excellent, kind and compassionate care to all the residents in this facility. The staff are warm, gentle and caring in providing personal care to the residents and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for an excellent placement for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's. The staff are truly vested in providing quality compassionate care in a safe and nurturing environment, the staff create and maintain. Residents are always neat, clean and well cared for, it is an excellent facility.
The folks at Mountain View are doing a fine job of caring for my long-time friend, "C," for whom I hold power of attorney.
I have been very pleased with my husbands care at Mountain View. The staff is friendly, caring and helpful. The facility is kept very clean and fresh smelling. My husband is doing well under their care.
My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014. I was able to take care of him at home for 3 years. Then he started running away from home and I had to call the police a few times to help me find him. Also, he was showing some aggressiveness towards me where he had to be sent to a psychiatric hospital. That's when I had to place him here at this facility in December 2017.
